::A future in the Museumsquartier:
According to a new structural concept for the Quartier 21 Public Netbase t0 is set to remain in the Museumsquartier. But the critical questions concerning a future in the Museumsquartier remain open.

The structural concept, presented in December 2000 amounts to a positive response to the users platform's request for complete institutional autonomy and provides for a two year lease contract for Public Netbase starting March 2002.

The enthusiastic responses with which this preliminary decision concerning Public Netbase's future in the Museumsquartier met must not obscure the problems with regards to some the plan's detailed provisions.

These are mainly associated with the short duration of the contract offered and the disproportionally high lease and overhead costs.
